Physical Literacy (Kids program)
Tricities CrossFit kids is a community that instills the value of a physically active life. Our programs develop strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, agility and endurance. Our goal is to create proper movement patterns early on in kids, so they can translate that movement to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer injuries as they grow! Of course, we do this all centered around one principal: HAVING FUN!
Why is this good for kids?
Learning the proper movement mechanics while kids are young creates a broad foundation ofathleticism that will last well into adulthood.
Our workouts teach kids to love fitness through a variety of functional and athletic movements such as pushing, pulling, running, throwing, climbing and lifting.
All of these activities will improve fitness, coordination and confidence.

About our classes
Our classes will have a diverse mix of exercises and activities that change daily. We will use developmentally appropriate equipment and tailored programming to challenge each child at their increasing fitness level. Classes last 45 minutes, and include a warm-up, a focus movement, strength segment, conditioning segment and a game Kids will be challenged, have fun and feel accomplishmentin every class!
Our last summer sessions will run for 4 weeks meeting2x per week, Tu/Th at 10am. Our class is for ages 7-12. Our next 8 sessions will start 7/25-8/14.
